The Port of Tremestieri is directly connected to the motorway network and allows daily connections for vehicles and heavy traffic with the ports of Villa San Giovanni and Reggio Calabria.

The Port is currently undergoing a major expansion work that will lead it to be, once the works are completed, the reference point and main strategic hub for RoRo logistics in Messina.
